The brief was to give Narasimha his full fierce dignity without tipping into gore: the lion-man seated like a throne-deity with Hiranyakashipu across his lap at the instant the boon is undone. Central-deity composition holds the four-armed figure large at the heart of a geru ground, discus and conch raised in the upper hands so the avatar reads as Vishnu first and lion second. We kept the demon flat and yellow across the lap rather than rendered in struggle, and set little Prahlada in folded-hand profile at the corner — because the story turns on the child's devotion, not the violence. The crescent and lotus on the throne base keep it formally a deity portrait.
