The brief was the Janeu-chowki as a single clear emblem rather than a busy diagram: the looped sacred thread at the centre, a square yantra to seat it, a conch at each corner, and one lotus mandala ring around it all. We held the fill near half so the geru ground reads inside the square and between the rings, the way a ceremony seat looks drawn fresh on a swept floor. In Kumaon the Upanayana, or janeu, is the sacred-thread rite — a child is seated on a freshly drawn chowki and given the yajnopavita to wear across the shoulder — so the looped thread and the conches (sounded at the rite) are the whole iconography. The square and corner conches are the ceremony's geometry, not ornament. White biswar on geru, no third colour.
