The brief was a river-band built around a single unhurried swimmer. The turtle is a quiet gift to Gond: the shell wants concentric rings — outer plates dotted, an inner spiral — so the back becomes almost a target or mandala, and the flippers take scale-rows for paddling. Set on the diagonal across two broad current bands of teal and cobalt dots, the turtle has somewhere to be without rushing; the braided dot-bands do the work the S-curve does elsewhere, reading as moving water. Three small red fish dart around it for scale and movement, and a flowering tree roots the upper corner. Keeping it medium-light lets the deep maroon ground breathe between the bands, so the turtle reads at a glance and the ringed shell rewards the longer look it deserves.
