We briefed this as a literal Sohrai harvest: not a single motif but the paddy-and-millet reaping that gives the festival its name. A sloping field doesn't sit on an upright wall, so we stacked it into four terrace-bands — cutting at the top, binding sheaves, reaping millet, gathering into a basket below — the way a Sohrai mural naturally stacks its registers. Each woman is kept bent to her own sheaf in flat earth-pigment line so the work reads at a glance, and the kaolin-white egrets standing among the stalks are the real company of a Jharkhand paddy field rather than decoration. The warm clay ground does the rest, reading as the daubed harvest wall the scene belongs on.
