We briefed this as the night Jhumar on the akhra, the village dancing ground, and it is the piece where Khovar's two-tone earns its keep most plainly: the dark base is the night, so the moon and the wheeling dancers simply read as white light against it. Jhumar is danced linked at the shoulder around the mandar drummers, so radial-bloom was the only honest composition — two rings turning around the drum at the centre, every dancer the same combed weight so the circle reads as one motion rather than a row of separate figures. The lotus-disc under their feet is where the ring's energy gathers. The huts, moon and flag-pole up top fix the place and hour without crowding the dance.
