DESIGN BRIEF: the brief was a tree of life built from a single climbing line, so a tall flowering creeper runs almost the full height of the panel down the centre — stem spiralling into tendrils, leaves and round blossoms, birds perched along it — and the village ranges itself in balanced rows on either side, the vine acting as the spine that holds them. We held the fill to medium and kept the fish-net frame bold and open rather than a merged mesh, with clear maroon space between the rows so the creeper stays legible as the axis and the work figures, cattle and birds never crowd into it. The rounded faceless figures are pure Lanjia Saura — bent-knee, bulb-headed — never Warli triangles, and there is no perspective depth. Creeping vines link the panels of a Saura wall; the print wanted that sense of a single growing line drawing the whole village together around it.
