The brief was river-flow symmetry for monsoon urban commute — not sun-moon celestial arch, not forest-scatter, and no tarpa spiral because Mumbai rain is logistics not harvest dance. Umbrella commute is a translation problem: how do patterned umbrella semicircles, flooded boat crossings, elevated metro, and briefcase rectangles read inside Warli monochrome without becoming a weather-app screenshot on geru? River-flow was the layout fix — wavy water band centre holds the boat-with-umbrella hero the way classical fishing scenes hold river crossings; upper register stacks skyline and metro; lower path band shows puddle circles and additional walkers. What we refused: perspective puddles, branded raincoat colours, tarpa ring, chauk square.
