Medaram Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara Cheriyal Print — bangaram offerings carried to the forest shrine · collector edition on vermilion ground · Nakashi scroll grammar from Telangana

Half of Telangana walks to a forest clearing for two goddesses; here that whole tide is one steady row of women balancing gold.

The brief was to honour Asia's biggest tribal congregation without painting a stadium crowd — Cheriyal scrolls never reported numbers, they distilled an event to one readable line of figures. So we composed a procession-row moving left-to-right: a drummer opens it, head-load women carry the jaggery offerings the festival is built on, and the tree-shrine with its seated priest anchors the right edge as the destination. The medium-light fill leaves the vermilion ground breathing between bearers so each head-load reads as its own bright mound rather than a blur. Keeping Sammakka and Saralamma implied rather than enthroned was deliberate — the Koya pilgrimage is about the walk and the offering, and the folk grammar carries that better than a frontal deity icon would.
