Ki-84 Hayate Cutaway Poster — Ki-84 Ko WW2 Split-View Blueprint Print

Hinomaru red on the left and a Ha-45 radial rib cage on the right — the Ki-84 Hayate earns rank-twenty-four cutaway treatment because Nakajima finally built a fighter that Allied pilots admitted could match the Mustang in climb and roll when fuel and maintenance held together.

Rank 24 documents the Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate — the late-war fighter the Allies codenamed Frank and respected as the first Japanese design to combine Ki-43 agility with armour, self-sealing tanks, and a genuinely competitive top speed near 390 mph. Powered by the Nakajima Ha-45 Homare eighteen-cylinder radial and armed with two 20 mm Ho-5 cannon plus two 12.7 mm machine guns, the Hayate entered service in 1944 as homeland-defence units scrambled against B-29 formations and carrier raids. Production suffered from alloy shortages and inconsistent engine quality, yet pilots who received well-built examples reported performance that embarrassed earlier Army fighter doctrine. Split-view blueprint art renders the olive-green hinomaru exterior and wireframe Homare lattice exactly as the master PNG dictates.

  • Black frame on deep forest or charcoal walls — olive-green exterior and wireframe lines stay true without overpowering neutral upholstery
  • Pair with Ki-43 Oscar or N1K2 Shiden cutaway prints at matching A2 for IJA/IJN late-war Japanese fighter grid
  • Hang above a credenza at eye level; the top-down split-view and hinomaru roundel read best with half a metre stand-off
  • Natural-oak frame suits study walls where forest plate echoes wood tones beside aviation bookshelves
  • Stack A3 beside A6M5 Zero for Pacific adversary chronology without competing decal fields
  • Avoid saturated red decor directly beside the hinomaru if you want olive-green camouflage tones to stay accurate
