The brief was sun-moon-arch symmetry for an ISRO Mars subject — not vertical rocket launch (that is Chandrayaan in the same catalog), not tarpa harvest dance. Mangalyaan orbit is a translation problem: how does an orbiting spacecraft read inside Warli celestial band grammar with Mars as hero circle, dotted arc trajectory, and ground celebration? Sun-moon-arch was the layout fix — classical Warli uses the double celestial register for journeys across time; here sun and moon bracket Mars orbit while stars dot the arch. What we refused: photoreal rover panels, ISRO logotype, perspective depth, concentric tarpa ring. What we kept legible: crater dot clusters inside Mars disc, dashed orbital arc, gantry rocket left, satellite dish centre, wavy water border echoing river-flow village edges. Celebrating stick figures are communal witness layer — same grammar as wedding crowds, different mission.
