Revealed to the public in 1988 after years of classified sorties, the Nighthawk opened Desert Storm in January 1991 and rewrote what low-observable attack looked like — subsonic, faceted, and carrying GBU-27 laser-guided bombs through Iraqi air defences that never got a clean lock. The artwork reads like a squadron briefing sheet stripped to essentials: unit patch, bases, tail number, and the sawtooth planform that still stops sim-pit conversations cold.
